Default Likelihood of suspension damage?

Hi all,
On Saturday I was driving over some sleeping policemen in my car (at less than 20 mph) and got a really nasty metal clunk off the front driver side from one of them - not a grounding sound. I pulled in and checked what I could see under the car but nothing seemed to be loose or broken. For the next few humps it was making a smaller version of the same noise but then that stopped too and now it sounds completely normal.
At no point did the car drive like there was anything broken but is there anything that might be gone that is just hanging in there? I'm going to get my garage to have a look as soon as possible but it will be later this week and I need the car during the day. Any idea what might have caused it?
Car is standard and it's running on the normal tire size. Only thing that seems loose underneath is there's a large plastic (?) cover behind the front bumper - like an undertray? - it's not hanging down but it does move around a bit - normal?
Thanks

I do not have an S60 but I would check out the undertray. It should not move about too much and is usually connected to the front bumper/spoiler. On my 850 this try actually came loose and dragged along the floor. Check out any mountings - it may save you problems in the near future.

Sounds like the anti roll bar bushes are starting to wear - this is a very common problem on the S 60 & V 70 - I have experienced on both models, both 01 & 02 cars. Get it back to the dealer under warranty as they will get worse - sorry!
