Default Car alarm

Can anyone explain this?
Every time I park in my local shops car park (MK6), my car alarm goes off within a minute of locking the doors.
Nowhere else in the country where I have parked, and that's a lot of places, does this happen.
Are there some very strong microwave/electical/magnetic pulses in the area or is my car just afraid?

Some form of non-ionising radiation (Electro-magnetic or solar) will be impacting the alarm. Or possibly vibrations.

Park somewhere else.

You could try setting the alarm system to "Ferry Mode" to find out if it is local vibrations causing it, otherwise you'll have to move house...

Cheers

???? ... is that the same as disabling the internal sensor via the dash switch?
Not aware of being able to do anything else tbh.

Yep - Volvo call it "reduced alarm level".

Disables the "dog in the cabin" sensor and also the local "tilt or knock" sensor.

Cheers
