Default V60 outside tailgate button

Over the past few weeks the rubber button has become more heistant to operate. I find a sweet spot, however it takes a few times for it to unlatch the boot. When new you hardy apply any pressure for an open signal.

A freind has a similar issue. In the end a broken was diagnosed. Is this a common issue and if so, what is the permanent fix?

Thanks

I can only relate to a similar problem with an XC60, I'd say you need a new switch.

See this thread:

https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=265693

After saying that, XC70 owners seem to have the same problem that is down to a faulty ground problem in a connector in the rear of the headlining.

If you do a search on You Tube you should find a video that details the fix.
