Default 2015 S60 Sensus Navigation not loading

Hi, Apologies if this has been covered before, but I have trawled the forum for hours and cannot find an answer to my problem.

I recently bought a 2015 S60 D4 R design. It has the 2014 Sensus Navigation. The maps were out of date so tried to update. I have followed the steps as per the Volvo website however it appears to have killed the navigation.

The usb stick was initially recognised and update started. Shortly after it came up with a HDD error and stopped. The Navigation and voice recognition are now not available. I push the NAV button and there is no response. It doesn't load or open.

I have tried multiple times to restart the update using different usb sticks and even tired a smaller map. I have restored to factory settings but this had no effect (not that I expected it to). Nothing I have tried has worked.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or can point in the direction of a solution.

Thanks and apologies again if I've missed a solution elsewhere on the forum.

try disconnecting the battery for half an hour it may reset the unit.
Otherwise a trip to the dealer to find out what's happened.

Are you sure you used the correct map? has your car got the wi-fi button?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. It was the latest European maps and it does have the wifi button. I've tried the battery disconnect with on effect.

Thanks

I did my brothers V60 full European maps back in June, there is a new release now as you had, It makes me wary of trying it! keep us informed as to what Volvo come up with.. Do you keep music on your car's hard disk? I'm wondering if it uses separate partitions for the maps and Music.

No music on it but I'm going to try uploading some to test the hd.
