2.0 engine V's 2.0 D3 engine
Hi. Can anyone post any experiences they have with the D3 engine? I can see that you get slightly more mpg, 163bhp and road tax slightly cheaper. Showing my lack of knowledge here but is the D3 engine a turbo? I'm wondering if worth paying more for a high mileage D3 as I could get the lesser engine car with less miles. All help appreciated. Cheers

They're all turbos. Don't think even VAG sell the non-turbo diesel SDi in their cars anymore, and they were probably the last mainstream manufacturer to offer a non-turbo diesel in their VWs and Skodas.

The D3 would be my choice of the 2. More power, better economy and with it being 5 cyl it will be less noiser. Personally with modern DPF diesels I would always choose high mileage over low mileage.
