Just been reading this interesting report on the BBC website
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35622753 May be of interest to some owners, hopefully it does not happen whilst driving. |

I have had exactly the same experience (six or seven years ago), although I wasn't driving a 'five-cylinder diesel from the 60 and 70 series constructed from the middle of 2015' but a 2001 1.8i V40: all electrics died (engine died, lights went, no power steering ) - luckily I was on an almost straight piece of road with no-one else around - and after ten seconds or so it came back again ... but pretty alarming. I've been waiting for it to happen again but gladly it hasn't.
