Default Speed Limitation

I am about to purchase a new Volvo, BUT, I understand that all new Volvos have their top speed limited to 112 m.p.h. Whilst I am not a speed merchant I do not want to driving in Germany, for instance and be limited to 112m.p.h.

The police have obviously removed the limitation on their cars, so my question is simply "how to do it?"

All help appreciated. Man y thanks in anticipation.

Volvo have gone to a lot of effort to make that impossible. Im not aware of anyone managing to overcome it yet. From what I've heard its not just a different map.

Look on the bright side. All new cars have speed limiters from next year and will slavishly resteict you to the prevailing speed limit on whatever road you are on, and max at 130kmh (about 80 mph) on the Autobahn. You're better off buying the car now and taking the 112 rather than waiting a year and being stuck clenching your buttocks at 80 on the 'bahn.
