we have had confirmation from Uttoxeter Racecourse and unless the situation changes the event will go ahead as planned.

I keep checking the long range forecast for uttoxeter for this coming Sunday and this morning it had changed from having a 70 to 90% chance of rain to being sunny with a 70 to 90% chance of showers! If the forecast remains at sunny with showers-or even improves then I'll make the journey to be there assuming it's still on.

Looks like it's changed again! Light cloud and ~10% chance of rain!

Is there a time by which folks need to be there and is it a turn up and pay on the gate entry - if so how much is the entry fee?

No entry fee if you're a club member. If you're not a club member I believe you can join on the day - £35 from memory.

I'm going to aim to be there for about 10, not sure what format the judging is taking this year so hopefully Fergie will pop in soon

Hmm, I'm not a club member just a member on this forum, but I did attend[with both my 960 and V70]the same/a similar event a couple of years ago at Thoresby Hall[if I remember the location correctly]was hoping to get to this one with both cars again so will now need to find out if not being a club member puts a stop to that or if an entry fee is applicable to non-members and if so how much per car/person.

It has always been free entry but you have to be a member to enter your car into the BKV competition.

That is my understanding as well, 'wrinkles'. All things being equal, we are hoping to attend; if we do, it will be the first event of any kind that we will have visited in well over a year.

I have always regarded the fact that admission is both FOC and open to all a great credit to the VOC. Many other clubs are not nearly as generous!

Regards, John.
