I would need to read the full replacement procedure in Vida.
If it says it needs new software, you'd need a live subscription and connection to Sweden and pay for the software.
If it just needs a calibration within Vida you're good to go.

You'll need a Dice and Vida regardless.

I'm looking to use Dice and Vida on a 2013 V70 (3rd gen facelift) to be able to read codes and reset things like the MDS. If your dice is suitable how can I go about purchasing one

There's lots of live BMS data available and resetting capibility plus other functions.
