I thought of the Avons - but at the time I neeed them they were unavailable for my 90 in 18's, which was a shame as they were a good chunk cheaper & had good reviews. I went witht the bridgestone CC equivalent.

Just had the new Cross Climate2 tyres fitted £560 for a full set for my XC60.
The old Cross Climate 1 set served me very well, 4 years and approx 30k miles. No complaints at all with these tyres decent grip in all weathers and they last a bit too, I wouldnt use anything else now. Highly recommended Steve |

Nokian was formed in 1865 before Nokia even existed.
Nokian Tyres have manufactured tyres under the Nokia brand name, but the company itself has only ever been called Nokian since 1864, and then Nokian Tyres since 1932. The company has never been known as Nokia but has sold products using the Nokia brand name, Nokia being the genitive of Nokian. I presume you can read Wikipedia and Nokian's website just as well as I can?

No one cares about Nokia and Nokian.
I came here to add value with my input to CC which are that they are good tyres and long lasting. There are post after post that just fill this thread. |

I've just changed 4 Crossclimate + for 4 Bridgestone WeatherControl Evos (235/45/17) and so far, in snow, the Bridgestones are better.
They are also quieter, and more comfortable, and have better dry grip. Will see if they last as long though!

If Nokian tyres are good enough for the Nordic countries and Russia, then they'll be fine for the UK. More concerning is the mindless NPCs that infest the roads. Nipped out today and.. wtf is this? Everybody tip toeing around at 15mph in their crossover SUVs because of a tiny bit of slushy snow that started an hour ago? Jesus wept. Had CC2's fitted to the back last month. They're round, and rubber, and they allow the car to move and stop, so I would say that's good value.

I've got Cooper Discoverer Winter on my 2015 XC60 and they're about to go into their 3rd winter, they have about 5mm average on each (not bad after 38k miles) so I was thinking of replacing them now. I'm going to do that in the next 6 months or so - why not have new rubber going in to winter?
In the size which was the most common of Mk 1 XC90 and Mk 1 XC60 - 236/60 R18 - Camskill have only 3 choices (Dunlop and 2 cheap chinese) and Oponeo have just two - both Continental. Hope I don't get a puncture......
