V60 D3 2011 Automatic, Starting problem.
Hi All, I have had an intermittent none starting fault. Engine spins over but will not fire, keep trying and suddenly it starts but not every time. Today whilst driving home the engine cut out altogether, kept trying but wouldn't start, waited half hour kept trying and suddenly started. Has anyone experienced this problem and found a cure. Thanks in advance for any help.

Similar thing happened to me with my XC90 and it turned out to be loosened electrical connections.
Think! For an engine to run, what need working? Unplug, clean and plug it again (I had to clean with WD40 electrical contact cleaner): Fuse box Injectors fuel pump Glow plugs etc Good luck

I have just checked the codes with my scanner and it has come up with this lot,P000100, P000300, P252F00, U016700, P060300 and U300013. I checked the fuel pressure while cranking the engine over and it was 0.

Looking at codes...looks like its a fuel supply issue?
I'd say its all electrical - check connections. If all good then it'd be faulty parts

Nice one mate
I'd guess fuel was blocked at the filter housing?

Think it is now cured.
Well the problem returned not long after filter change. Had auto electrician check it over and recommended new battery, so fitted new battery problem still exists, lots of time spent checking and testing costing a fortune and no good result. I finally bit the bullet and pulled all the connectors and fuses on the CEM cleaned all the connections with contact cleaner put it back together and it started straight away and has been good for the past week. Fingers crossed it is now cured.
