Hi, recently purchased a 2002 v40 T4. It’s been remapped and has a performance filter. Going to put a strutbrace on it soon to tighten up the front end. Any ideas about what else to do to it without going mad ? It’s a great cat, black with black leather, Arcadia’s, mesh grill, rear spoiler and sharkskin aerial. Looking to keep it for a long time, cheers.

All about the budget really. What might seem perfectly sensible to some would be considered mad to others, it's all relative.

Power wise then as was already said the next step is the exhaust. Air in has been sorted, with the remap some timing/fuelling tweaks have been done and perhaps some boost increase as well so the next thing to have improved is the exhaust gases out stage which a performance exhaust will help with as long as it's a reputable off the shelf one or a custom one done by someone who knows what they're doing.

Failing that you'll improve it driving wise with suspension and brakes, strut braces to tighten things up are good, upgraded suspension would be further improvement but things start to get a bit pricier then. Brakes you could go for better discs and pads but unless you're pushing it regularly you'd have to decide again if it was worth the outlay or not. Really depends what you're looking to achieve from the car.
