Annoyingly I broke my driver's side one yesterday. Twisted it to put it alongside the side window (bloomin' low sun heading south this time of year on the school run!) and the bracket has split. Fortunately still in place for the moment, and I have the blue sunstrip on my windscreen which does a surprisingly good job.
Another symptom I fear of it having sat for three months over the summer - I also broke the end cap on the rear seat catch mechanism recently.

That's exactly how mine broke and then another broke.

The current ones have lasted well as I worked silicone grease into the plastic twist part before fitting them. I was due to get a spare set from someone on here years ago. Unfortunately they failed to deliver although I had paid!! At least yours is still in place.

I smashed an end cap on the rear seat a long while ago when I dropped the seat hard. That's ownership!!

Kiloran, Sorry to hear you've experienced this broken visor, and yes the low winters sun has been a real nightmare over the last week or so.

I had this happen to me on way back from picking my 940 up 😀

On mine, the pivot hinge securing bracket had split but was intact fortunately, every time I touched the visor it just dropped out of the bracket......

Fix has lasted me a few weeks now, I put a small piece of cling film over the visor ball, then inserted this into the bracket, super glued all the cracks, I very carefully prised the cracks open to get as good a bond as possible. Next day, used a strip of self amalgamating tape to put a couple of turns of wrap round the outside, to hopefully support. Also used a small zip tie to minimise cracks reopening.

Then just used scalpel to cut excess cling film that was poking out of the pivot hole.

Mine are beige, but I did get a spare off EBay, in case my fix failed.

As mentioned, I don't know how long it will last, but fingers crossed 🤞😀

Still seeking a pair of these for my non-sunroof 745…my wife is extremely displeased with doing the afternoon school run in it without them as it involved 45mins of driving due west 🤣
