Smile No Hazards No indicators Help please

I have a 1997 s40 1.8i, have no hazard lights and no indicators could it be the relay switch? if so what am i looking for ?

Pull out the hazard light switch and check it, might need to replace it as I had one gone faulty and had the same issues

Or it could the fuse on the drivers footwell.

Anotjer culprit could be the the flasher relay. Not sure if the same applies to Phase 1 cars (1996-2000) but on the Phase 2 cars, when you start the engine and not put the driver seatbelt on, there is a ticking noise coming from the flasher relay. If it is the same on Phase 1 cars, then you can do this simple test.

Try it and let us know

I had exactly the same problem and read that if you press and release the hazard light switch about twenty times to clean the contacts it will work ,it worked for me and as been ok for over 2 years now, try it good luck
