Default so many faults

i got these lists of faults back from a diagnostic check today. no idea what it all means. I was really expecting an ABS sensor fault, but all this is just confusing. where do i even start? Battery is fairly new. changed less than 1000 ago.

Is the car driving okay? Is there any engine management light on the dash?

It may have been mentioned before, but you're local to a very good Volvo Specialist called Hallmark. These guys knows Volvo's inside out and won't rip you off. They're always busy though, so expect a 1-2 week wait to get your car in.

i dropped the car off this morning for MOT /service & disgnostic check. i have not seen any warning lights since it happened on thursday, but the garage said warning lights have come on during the MOT. they didn't go ahead with the service, said there was no point. sfter the diagnostic check. i am on my way to collect the car now. i will call in at Hallmark on the way back. see what they have to say. another place has been recommended by the garage, i will also see what they have to say. i can't afford to wait too long to get iT fixed as i need to travel for work.

Is the garage where the car is currently located a Volvo specialist?

Its definitely worth giving Hallmark a try. Although, I think they close for Easter break soon. Just explain that you need it fixing and they should be able to fit you in at their earliest convenience.

Just a thought. Is there any chance that your windscreen has been leaking? The P3 range is known for this, and when water gets into the electrics it can cause all sorts of problems.

Are the carpets damp in either the driver or passenger footwells? If you push against the top of the windscreen from the inside does a gap open up along the top of the screen where it meets the car bodywork?

Actually, ignore that last post - I've just seen that your car is a 2005 model?

I don't think that the leaky screen problem affected pre-2007 cars.

If so, then strictly speaking you're in the wrong part of this site - you really need to be posting in the section for 2000-2007 V70 and XC70 cars.

Wrong section, however didn’t the later P2 cars have a problem with water ingress to the CEM? From under the scuttle panel I think.
That causes all sorts of weird and wonderful issues.

OK, Battery is fairly new. But, check it thoroughly, and also check the generator if it's charging the battery properly.

Low / Bad / Unsuitable battery could cause all sorts of DTC's, so it's good to eliminate that suspect.

i suspect that is an old fault code from when my battery failed last year and i replaced it.
i did ask the mechanic of there are dates on the codes but he said he didn'tknow. seems daft to me to have all those codes with no dates on.
there s also a fault code relating to the tailgate. and that was an issue that the dealer fixed before i bought the car. so i would say definitely a bunch of old codes in that list.
I am hoping the only real-time issue is ABS(sensor) related and can easily be fixed.
