Default XC70 (VC not Haldex) Angle Gear

Help!

I have been told by a specialist that the whining sound as I engine brake is my Angle Gear/Front Transfer Box and it needs replacing at a cost of £900!! Does anyone know where a good used one can be sourced? I have a 2000 X reg P2 XC70 using the VC system, not sure what part number the angle gear is though.

All help appreciated!

Sgt_Squirrel.
