a 4 cylinder T5.... that's just so wrong on so many levels, Ford... moot point if that influence is a good thing or not! Remember it's chinese now so you'll be getting a nodding lucky cat with it next year

what the hell are volvo playing at?

They need to rip out all the extra bullship equpiment, sell a lightened version with the T6 engine. Sort the handling out. Stick 4 exhausts out the back and called it an M-Sport edition.

Diesels are the same - the 2.0 163bhp diesel is now the D3...and that's a 5-cylinder block. (which is no slouch BTW as my ride in one round the Top Gear test track at the weekend will attest to!)

As I understand it there will be a T3, T4, T5 and T6 - apart from the T6 none of them have any relation to the number of cylinders. From the press release:

Quote:
Later during the first year of production, the all-new S60 will also become available as a 2.0 GTDi variant (T5) producing 240 hp and torque of 320 Nm. Furthermore, there will be a 1.6-litre GTDi engine available in two versions: 180 hp (T4) and 150 hp (T3) with torque of 240 Nm.
Oh, and just to confuse matters, GTDi is not a diesel - it's "Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection"...so that'd be "PDTi" over here?

The engine sizes are what intrigue me - 1.6 producing 180bhp - same as from my 2 litre.

My brain is now hurting...
