With a good afternoon's valeting and engine bay detailing (Steve style ) I reckon that could be BKV worthy....

I very positive that is Carlsbad Gul,( Carlsbad Yellow) my brothers 1980 245dl is the same colour. Though it was only recently repainted .

To the OP

I hope you realise that as long as the vehicle is insured, you are perfectly within your rights to drive it to an MOT station providing that you have booked it in beforehand, you can tax it afterwards.

yes carlsbad yellow ( 128 ) same as my 1980 343 :-)

This car looks just like mine (but mine has a higher mileage)! I will need to sell him some time this summer before we move and would like to find him a good home with somebody who can give him the care and respect he deserves. which is gutting as I live in Ashtead and he car is almost a spit of the one my dad had when I was growing up... if only I had seen this at the time I'd have jumped on it myself. Where did the car go in the end?
