Alarm service required - HELP!
Got in my XC60 today and I had the message Alarm Service Required. Besides the message the Sensus system wasn't functioning. A few in and outs of the car and ignition on off and the message has gone and sensus is working again.
Anyone else seen this before? Also a couple of days ago I put the car into reverse and the rear camera didn't work. I soon realised that none of the Sensus functions were working. Again, in out of the car and things seemed to be OK. This is a real worry as my car is a 2012 model registered just 4 weeks ago! Last edited by mrlossyman; Dec 2nd, 2011 at 16:18. |

These things aren't usually done at factory level. I would have thought you dealer would have checked prior to hand over though.
Shouldn't take lokng for them to upgrade it though.

I had the alarm service message virtually from day one (1st Sept). As the Alarm was working ok the dealer advised me to leave it until the QAI, which was last week. Typically it did not appear on the day but I was assured I had the latest software. A couple of days later the message appeared again and I took it back the next day. This time a fault was diagnosed. A new sensor has been ordered and I go back on Friday to have it fitted.
