Driving on the motorway on way to get 4 new tyres and I get the "Engine System Service Required" message.

Luckily Harratts in Leeds can see the car today. Will be interesting to see what they say.

Just picked my car up.

Oil level sensor was saying the oil level was too high hence the alert.

When checked it was 99% full ie spot on.

Alert reset but may need some oil draining off if it happens again.

All happy and have 4 new Continentals on the car. I have gone with the same tyre that the car came with when new.

Blackcircles.com were great as was the fitting centre-M&S Tyres in Leeds.

Thumbs up to Harratts Leeds for sorting me the same day too.

Age old problem that (see sticky at top of forum). You might want to get a second opinion as my understanding was that the oil should not be 100% as there was a risk it could overflow which would not be good! Had the same with mine at 10000miles and it had about 1.5 litres of oil drained off - trouble free ever since(now27000). It does need a software drop to fix it I think.

I read about the issues with the rising oil and thought " that is pretty bad, better keep my eye on it"

I willed it not to happen. Guess what it didnt........I must have "willed" too hard though............................

I got a warning message saying oil level low and that I should add some!

Regards

Problem reappeared - had to have some oil drained off.

All seems fine now.
