From personal experience the 185 D5 has a 'crankcase ventilation hose' ( see https://www.skandix.de/en/spare-part...ather/1026735/ ) The little looping metal pipe ( bottom right of the picture )sits right at the back of the engine and abrades over time giving rise to a pinhole leak that is difficult to spot and even more difficult to fix. Small hands, the patience of a saint and yoga master levels of flexibility ( non of which I have ) would have made the job easier. Best of luck John |

Optimisticly, if this has only started after the matrix change, I would start with that. I've had similar issue after both matrix changes.
1. Double check the security of the pipes where they join the matrix inside. Mine loosened/ weren't tight enough on one. Did you use new o rings? You'll see telltale coolant and have a damp floor if this is the case. 2. Re-bleed/ burp the system. Run the engine with the expansion tank cap off until well after the thermostat opens. Squeazing the large flex hoses helps. Take the car for a run and repeat. A normal V70 coolant system isn't pressurized so removing the cap carefully when up to temperature is fine. I would recommend checking/ changing your coolant as well. Red doesn't sound right, (normally green or sometimes blue). Pesimisticly, this could be any number of things but my experience is all petrol so I'll leave it to the deisel guys. Good luck. |
