WOOSH! And the thread is beamed from April back into the present day!

...How does she handle with those big wheels on then? I fitted those to my 940 and it just didn't seem right..

I plan to convert my 240 to big bumper spec (as I keep telling everyone on here) but the allure of Virgos and GLT trim keeps pulling me in the opposite direction. Help! I'm in a 245GL/240GL/245GLT love triangle!

Handles very well. I have fitted a rear ARB (Nivomat GLTs dont have one standard).

The offset is slightly different on the Gallaxies and I can feel a slight 'torque steer' effect through the steering when braking hard. I must stress though, that it really is slight and not a problem at all. (I tend to notice things like that having studied car suspension/steering dynamics years ago).

Yep, it was a bargain. It's nice to get lucky sometimes!

Easy Tim, do both.

The earliest GLTs had big bumpers. Find some TV screen headlights and do that!

I agree, those early big-bumper GLTs are lovely. I've been looking for one for about 5 years. Apparently there are only 2 left in the UK and they are SORNd

I'll keep looking
