P1800s steering wheel fitting parts
Parts lost by mechanic !. Needed to re-fit steering wheel. 1x spring 1x metal tube 1x mushroom shaped thingy that the horn wire fits to. Parts not available from brookhouse. Many thanks Paul.

Do you mean the spring that sits on the horn wire? It's about 15mm long x 4mm diameter? Rather than the one that sits around the steering column (like 75mm long x 25mm dia)? The 'metal tube'... There is a sleeve that sits around the end of the horn wire (but it serves as a insulator, can't be metal. Most are black plastic...). Or do you mean the carrier tube that supports the steering column?
I'll try to get some photos tonight but I think I have all the parts in question.... Chris |

The parts needed are the ones that fit under the horn button. yes it could well be plastic. The only thing under the horn button at the moment is a nut! Many thanks Paul.

I got busy last night, sorry about that....
Here is what I think you are after. All this stuff fits into the steering column, with the wire running down and through the steering box.... The first photos show the assembly together as it would be in the car, the second one shows the button spread out from the insulator, the cap that holds it in place and the spring. Let me know...
