The power supply - signal too low could be the main culprit... if the battery / alternator are failing the system will disable certain electrical systems. I would get these checked first

My S40 is a 2.0D 2004 54 plate.
I have cleared the codes but they come back straight away.

I will have to brave it and take it to my local volvo garage

Additive Dosing Module on a 2004??? those things appeared in mid 2005 with DPF-ed euro4 engines...

My advice> forget the codes, if the car's driving right, and feels right then everything with it is alright.

ECM 0490 - EGR Control - Signal Too High
ECM 1412 - EGR Control - Faulty Signal
I've had those two ever since i bought my car, i've done 12000km since with no problems what so ever. If the EGR is on it's way out then let it go all the way out...

Don't know about EPS 0071.

A bit more info now ,,

BCM 0130 . there is a pressure sensor in the ABS unit , If the signal IS faulty you will need a whole new hydraulic unit as the sensor is part of this . Likely to be very expensive . BUT you CAN get a second hand unit and swap YOUR control unit over to the second hand Hydraulic unit .. ( they come bolted together )

The EGR problem is most likely a faulty EGR control valve ..
you can fit a new one or a second hand one OR take yours off and feel if the valve is sticky , you could clean the carbon out of it especialy from the valve stem . There is a ECM software upgrade to help deal with this one too . If you leave it , it can go into reduced power mode ...

Power supply sigmal low usualy points to a faulty alternator , a second hand one can be picked up ...

so the esimated £2000 + bill could be reduced to a couple of hundred pounds if you carefuly source some parts .

With this number if different codes, I'd be inclined to try and find a common link. Perhaps then the clue is in the question as the last code is a power supply module.

If the individual modules generate their own supply from say a given 12v then either 12v is at fault across the whole system or each module has a diferent fault.

I'v not looked at a wiring diagram but I'd start checking voltages.
