Revs rise when changing gear
I've had my V50 for a couple of days now and initially thought the rising engine revs in between gear changes were just me getting used to the clutch, especially after driving an auto for the last few years, but now I'm starting to wonder.
If I let the revs and road speed level out completely before changing gear it's fine, but if I'm actually accelerating and changing up the gears it seems to be very difficult to do so with the revs climbing in between shifts, as if I'm leaving a foot on the accelerator too long or pressing the clutch in too soon. Is this just the way they drive or is something amiss? It's a 2004 2.0D manual by the way. Thanks in advance. |
