Volvo V40 52 plate CEM problem

I bought a Volvo v40 about 2weeks ago. And had to replace the CEM to get the passenger headlight to work. After replacing the CEM the headlight worked okay. Today the same problem has happened again. Tried my mates CEM and the headlight started working again. Is this a faulty CEM or have I got a problem with the Electrics. Any help would be appreciated

Hi

Unfortunately you have posted in the forum for the new style V40.

However, I used to have one like yours and it sounds to me, if the problem goes away and comes back each time you swap over the CEMs, that you might have a dodgy or loose connection or a wire that is breaking. Make sure all the connections to the CEM are tight and clean.
