Door puddle lights - logo projectors? + reverse LED bulbs
Anyone tried those replacement lights to the bottom of front doors which project the logo instead of pure light? I was wondering if it still illuminates enough to be useful or it becomes simply a for-show light when replaced?
And on the same note, talking bulbs, are those canbus-error-free LED bulbs for reversing lights, that are marketed as "150% more light" worth it? Do they illuminate better? I know the LED light tends to spread and although brighter doesn't give more light... TIA!

I looked at those logo projecting ones too but eventually just bought the Volvo genuine ones (which are LED). Same part as boot and footwells.
I was worried that those logo ones would ultimately spell W4NKER instead of VOLVO Seriously though - yes they might look OK on perfect tarmac but I'm just not sure they would look that good on uneven ground/grass etc. Why don't you 'TOFTT' and jump in so you can share photos? |

I have done the door lights and the mirror downlights and get plenty of light.
I have also added an extra boot light on the left hand side, 12v socket on the right hand side, led number plate lights, all led interior lights, footwell lights to rear, door pocket lights etc…….

Doesn't look bad at all. Can you maybe open the door over some grass to see what the projection looks like over the rough terrain/grass/mud?
Thanx!!! EDIT: I did try to add, at a certain point, interior LED instead of incandescent bulbs inside, on the roof, but wasn't happy as they continued to glow after locking the car. Barely glow, mind you, but still. I wasn't too happy about that, and I don't know much about it, just that if abulb is glowing then it must be using some current, so I removed them. How is your experience?

A Volvo techie told me that the LEDs that glow can cause issues with signals to the CEM.
