Default narrower cup holder suggestions

hi
in my 2005 v70 the cupholders are great however they seem to be designed for american sized cups!

you guys have any suggestions on having the cup holder be narrower so it grips whats inside it?

Don't ever use the cup holder for any unsealed container unless you want it to spill over the radio and CCM...

This is the mess you will end up with if you do, It took me forever to clean the dried spillage from my radio and CCM, it gets into every switch and opening on the fascia plate causing the switches to stick and not operate

I've never put a can in mine until today, the rubber holds the can perfectly.

Might be you need a new rubber, I've seen them for sale on eBay and may still be available from Volvo. Part number is 1076557

I have a dash cup holder available in perfect working order but needs new rubber inserts

does the unit have to come out to replace the cup holder?

looking at it yes the rubber on mine are shot, will look at replacing the unit as i dont think the rubbers alone are replaceable.

If you could provide measurements, I could send you some plastic sleeves to pop in there and make them exactly the right size for you.

The radio needs to be removed to replace the cup holder, can easily be done at the same time you are changing the thermistor
