Excessive engine vibration and driveline shunt.... opinions?
Canvassing for opinion.
Car is a 2010 with 60k miles, 185bhp chipped to 205 with Polestar software. I have got quite a lot of cabin vibration / roughness and some occasional drive-line shunt. If following my own advice, the first step would be to replace the upper-engine mount and the gearbox torque mount, which is probably what I am going to end up doing. However, if you could be so kind to take a look at the video and let me know if mine is better / worse / the same as yours, that'd be appreciated! With only 60k miles id say its quite early to be needing mounts, but the increased torque from the Polestar tune might have had an effect..... Its about €150 for genuine parts, so not hugely expensive, but I dont want to **** money up the wall either. Mine already has the square type upper mount, which when prodded and poked seems to have a huge amount of lateral movement, however as far as I understand this is a free floating mount and this is normal....? Grateful for any opinions! Heres the vid of mine: http://youtu.be/nmlO144bfTI
