Default Maf cleaner

Just to let you know, I decided to clean my Mass Airflow Sensor a few weeks ago and can confirm that my car has run much smoother since.

I read various forums about the pros & cons of this and decided to do it for one good reason - I have a K&N element fitted and this can leave oil residue on the platinum elements of the MAF and confuse readings.

I bought a can of MAF cleaner through ebay (£10ish) and used the whole can to spray clean the MAF element. The can has a straw like WD40 - but dont go near the element with the straw, just spray it, and make sure you allow it to dry thoroughly before refitting. (youtube has a video, albeit American)
Simple to do, just release the electric connector and undo the 2 screws - refit is reverse.

Mine is a 163 D5.

PS - I have no interest or connection with the MAF cleaner manufacturer/distributer.
