Is there an additional folder on the camera? I have nextbase cameras front and rear and in the event of sudden or severe movement they automatically save that time slots file to a seperate folder so it isn't overwritten by the camera?

I came across a Belgian motorbike going the wrong way up a slip road and was astounded I didn't catch the near miss and swerve on the camera. It was backed up in a seperate folder on the camera.

Yeah there is a separate folder, but it was empty. The guy just caught the rear wheel arch trying to get past so there wouldn't have been enough movement to trigger the G sensor.

What makes me believe it wasn't recorded was the fact that the very next video after the event you can hear the camera announce "Recording started" which suggests that it had been without power. If it had been recording and dumped the file elsewhere, then it wouldn't have made that announcement.

That coupled with the low battery warning on the VOC app led me to believe that the battery voltage was sufficiently low enough to cause the battery guard to kill power to the camera. What I don't understand is why it chose this moment - it had been working for the rest of the journey leading up to that point. Maybe something caused a momentary drop in voltage.

I genuinely cannot believe just how unlucky it was for it to stop at that very precise moment in time.

Car comes to a stop, ICE is switched off by the start&stop, and then because of a low battery the car cuts off power to the camera. Could it be this what happened?

That was my initial thought, but then I figured if the battery was running that low Stop Start would be inhibited?
