Default Saffron - opinions - enhances or detracts car value

I suppose it is like Marmite and divides opinions. What is the consensus view on S/V/C70 cars in Saffron? I have been looking to purchase a C70 in that colour, but now am concerned I will tire of the bright hue and standing out so much.

What do folk think - is it a Volvo thing or would non-Volvo owners feel differently about Saffron?

I'm biased having had a C70 coupe in Saffron from new for 17 years and my stepsons V70R is also Saffron. I love it.

Trying to be objective, evidence suggests Saffron cars get snapped up quickly when they come up for sale and given like for like condition, they command a price premium - so there is obviously a dedicated following.

Regards
John

I absolutely hate the colour and would never consider one. Also, the Toscana upholstery in C70 Collection models - cannot understand why folks consider it desirable. Each to their own.

As an owner of a 2018 V60, which only seems to come in shades of grey (OK, I exaggerate as there is a blue and red but even the blue has a grey tint) I am quite envious of this bright orangey/copper colour.
Wouldn't say it was specifically a Volvo thing as Seat do a similar colour.

I say go for it (assuming you like the colour). You'll certainly be able to find it easily in a car park.

I think Saffron, and the even rarer electric blue (not sure of the correct name), are both quite desirable colours - but there are some people who won't like them.

Everyone is different, so I'd say buy what YOU like - the car is going to lose money anyway so don't fret over it

I love it, but prefer the electric blue colour. However, the saffron turns heads like no other!

To balance, my wife and daughter hate it, my son loves it!

It's all personal preference. I think the Gul yellow is disgusting but it seems to be the most popular and sought after. I wouldn't have one if you paid me ( well I would cos I could sell it for a silly amount of money )
