Mpg
Hi
Thinking of buying a XC40 T5 Recharge, what do owners get average MPG. Any tips on increasing MPG. Car will be charged overnight. TIA |

Once you run out of electric you'll get mid-late 30s to the gallon (bit more on a steady run) |

Mpg?
Had our xc40 know 5 weeks a (Demonstrator)The garage put 3/4 of a tank of petrol in and we haven't been to petrol station since. We do short journeys daily and a 30 mile journey about 3 x a week. My app says i am doing 49.5 mpg the car says different calculations. I can not work it my self as i do not no how much petrol was exactly in the tank when we bought it. Plus all that petrol is a pain as the car is carrying all that weight which does not help the mpg.

The App should be correct - you may find that the car trip computer hasn't been reset in a while, so worth doing if you haven't already?.... |

2500 miles in and showing an average of 128mpg on my app. Car is charged overnight and 97% of driving is on electric only as charge at home and office.

What does mpg average out at if you were doing long (100-200) journeys? Assuming the battery is charged before the journey and on hybrid mode?

Just bought an XC40 D3 manual. Drive back from London (250 miles) saw 55 mpg without trying and in comfort mode - reckon I could have upped that in Eco and careful driving/using cruise control more.
Couple of much shorter journeys since have got 48-50 mpg. Overall very happy - similar numbers to the Scirocco TDI I used to own! |
