Default Which side of the car is the ABS unit in a RHD 940?

I need to buy a replacement pipe with unions to go between the ABS unit and the front left caliper of my LHD 940 diesel. Skandix list the pipes without specifying whether for RHD or LHD.

Which side of the car is the ABS unit in a RHD 940, please?

If it's the same side as in my LHD car then I can go ahead and order the pipe confident that it will fit, without worrying whether or not it was made for a LHD car.

Many thanks
Martin

A picture of th engine bay in Haynes manual shows it to be just ahead of the suspension tower on the right hand side as you look into the engine bay,so that would be passenger side[RHD car]or drivers side{LHD car} Hope that is of help.

Is that for a turbo or n/asp and does it make a difference? My last 740 (n/asp) had the ABS unit on the inner passenger wing, my current 760 (same year, also n/asp) has it on the drivers side inner wing, both just forward of the suspension towers.
Air intake on both cars is on the left so i'm not sure this is such a simple question as it first seems.

If the 9xx follows the same disorganisation as the 7xx then it could be anybodys guess.

DD - Many thanks. It's evidently the same side as in my LHD car so I can order with confidence.

In the past I have ordered bits from Skandix for my RHD V90 only to find that:
- The bits were for a LHD V90
- The bits for a RHD V90 are no longer available.
So it's good to be able to check before ordering,

Thanks again.
Martin

Dave, since the ABS unit is on the other side of the engine from the exhaust + turbo, maybe it makes no difference for the 940.

Sklandix's entry for the pipe says

Brake lines Front axle left
Volvo 940, 960: yearsmodel from 1992, engine all gasoline with turbocharger 4 cylinders, Braking/Drive dynamics for vehicles with ABS
Volvo 940, 960: yearsmodel from 1992, engine D24T, Braking/Drive dynamics for vehicles with ABS
Volvo 940, 960: yearsmodel from 1992, engine D24TIC, Braking/Drive dynamics for vehicles with ABS
Brake line Connection between: ABS-hydraulic unit - Brake caliper left

On the Exxon Valdez - 1997 LPT - it's on the intake side, behind and above the battery.

Ignore me I was thinking of the ECU!

yes as Loki says it is above the battery on N/S on a turbo car and above the battery on O/S on a non turbo car.

If you open your bonnet you won't miss it as it is massive and has ABS plastered all over it.
