That is 100% towing electrics indicator beeper used to happen on my Lexus even when nothing connected to towing electrics found out it was a short in the wiring.

I have detachable tow bar but i know nothing about it as i own this car just from a month. On Monday i will have appointment in Volvo dealership, will see if they can do something about it.

By the way why actually this beeper is needed?

Exactly my thoughts when you first mentioned the problem, hence my reply to you about a similar issue with my old XC90.

The beep is to tell you that the trailer/caravan indicators are actually working rather than having to fit a tell tale light on the dashboard, either are a legal requirement.

There are two variants of wiring,
1. wiring specific which are a plug and play into connectors in the rear of the car
2. A universal kit which the auto electrician piggy backs into the wiring loom
;

assuming a dealer fit, it’ll be 1. Above it in which case there will be an invoice somewhere to confirm. Most dealers subcontract this work to a local specialist. But it’s still under their warranty as you paid them.

you may have no2 ( it’s cheaper) but will be a compromise which is why the buzzer is occasionally sounding. A local tow bar fitter will be the way forward here. If you are handy, You may be able follow the wiring from the tow bar and see how it’s joined to the vehicle wiring. A loose connection may be the answer if you’re lucky, but good luck pulling the boot trims off!

Thanks a lot for explanation.

I went to my local Volvo Dealership with this issue. They confirm that this is as you told me but they wont repair because isn't under warranty. (for all accessories only one year of warranty the car is 1,5 year old :P)
I did call to Volvo Dealer that I bought this car from and they promise that they will repair that as after sale issue and apparently they will call me today to arrange appointment.
Only one big disadvantage of that is I am living only 2.5 hours away from them but anyway should be cheaper then give me car to local garage to fix it.
