Volvo V70 2005 D5 - For Sale - Soon
Just putting this out there as a car that will be for sale in the next 2 - 4 weeks - once I have put 12 months MOT on it & had an oil service completed for the next owner.
2005 V70 Facelift 163BHP with 251K miles. I have owned the car for 14 months and in that time carried out around 7K trouble free miles. In that time I have had full oil service / fuel filter / rear brake pads / discs. Also within the last 5K miles 4 X Goodyear Vector Gen2 All Season Tyres. Also within the last 3 months brand new starter motor / serpentine belt / pulley. I bought the car from the second owner who had owned it for 13 years. He spent that time doing a 100 mile commute round trip down the motorway each work day. Fastidious service history, including 2 gearbox oil changes (last at around 200K). Cambelt still has 40K / 4 years since last change. It is factory standard other than a detachable tow bar and twin electrics which the previous owner installed for dump trip runs. And a GROM unit / hands free kit. it does not drive like anything like the mileage indicated and everything is working other than the headlight washers (never been bothered to investigate). This is a car that you just start and drive. Anywhere. Like I have done, in the time owned, without hesitation. The car does not burn oil or lose water. The gearbox is silky smooth after 10 or 510 miles (it has had 2 gearbox changes in its life, last at around 200K) I'm looking for around £2K Please get in touch if interested. Many thanks to those who have enquired - yes the car is still for sale, it hasnt really started yet owing to delay in getting the work done.
The MOT is booked in for 15/2. I also have it booked in for an oil /fuel/ air filter service at Nomansland Garage (Volvo Inde New Forest, who fitted the starter motor / aux belt last year) on 2/3. Only had one or two days of snow this year so far, and the car went perfectly on the Goodyears (we live in the sticks - no gritters etc). Not a major surprise as I had them on my previous V70 D5 with 620K miles and bigger snow back then. Will update the listing once the work has been completed. Stay safe & well, many thanks, Mark |

I am going to keep it - only had it 15 months!
The MOT tester suggested that it would be a mistake to sell it also. Many thanks for the enquiries of interest. Last edited by MG68; Feb 18th, 2021 at 21:00. |

The gearbox oil should be changed every 30-40k ish, so would strongly suggest changing it again asap.

Car has just been MOT'd - and just had the oil / air / fuel filter service as suggested earlier post. Just Friday took it for a 250 mile round trip to Nuneaton - didnt miss a beat. Get in touch if of interest. Last edited by MG68; Mar 28th, 2021 at 19:34. Reason: detail |

All about perspective.
Good luck with the sale of yours for 1250 was it? My last V70 sold with 621K miles on it for £750 3 years ago. Still see it around. Like mine it had been looked after - no new turbo required, etc as you state. There is junk out there & there are those that have been looked after. |

Could I ask what maintenance you do outside of usual schedules to get to that milage? Was that on the original engine, gearbox etc or how many replacements did you have? |
