  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default misfire

i have s40 1.6 diesel. last week i changed my timing belt after that its started misfiring after a 15 mins drive. i took into the volvo for full diagnostic check and they found EGR valve is faulty. i changed EGR but still having trouble and the local garages cannot figure it out

i have message on screen Engine system service urgent.

note. The first 15 minutes drive with no problem at all after that its start misfire all the gears

anyone had such problem before?

Have you checked the belt since? Timing still okay?

New member but was browsing and seen your question.

I had a similar issue with my Audi A4. It was the MAF. Not knowing much about the Volvo yet, I can only assume.
