Default XC70 D5 185 injectors fitting

Hi.

Sadly the source of the missfire on injectors 1 to 4 is definitely Injectors after new terminal connectors and Cloned ECU didn't help.

Found some second hand injectors quite reasonably priced , question ,Can I reuse the old injector clamps and bolts? Will get new copper washers.

I know injectors need coding , would it run ok without coding? I would imagine my local volvo specialist would want 100 quid to code all 4

Thanks

Can't comment on the clamps & bolts, but the engine should run. Maybe not very well, but should be enough to nurse it to a garage.

When I did the injectors on my girlfriends D5 V70 58 plate so I think it's the 160 bhp. I replaced 3 out of 5 with the exact part numbers from a breakers and they work perfectly with no coding. New copper washes/seals are essential I managed to salvage the best of the clamps and bolts I had form the original and replacements, but if any look slightly flattened I would replace them. Also lock tight the threads on the bolts.

The clamps can only be used once , they bend and you will not get the same clamping force the second time resulting in leaking seats and oily carbon deposits which bake the injectors solid into the head .
volvo do fitting kits , you will need one for each injector , you are also supposed to replace the high pressure pipes when you remove them .

Thanks.

My Injectors part 30750283 have 7 digit code , some replacement same part numbers have 8 digit code.

Does it have to be 7 digit code inorder to code replacement ones in?

What are the chances of it running without coding
