Default Estate full length roofrack required

Hi Folks,

Happy Monday to you all :-).

I am after a 240Estate Roofrack for my 89 estate and I have just seen an aluminium one sold on the forum 200 sales page which I am gutted to have missed. however does anyone else have one.?

Looking for very good condition and did consider doing one up, but want to get a good one is my final thought and wait if needed.

Happy to pay the going rate for the right one.

Thanks for looking.

Andy

I’ve always thought the steel “ antique dealer “ are more versatile. Stuff is put on it , whereas the aluminium ones , stuff is put in them , because of their defined “sides”.
If you know what I mean!🤔

We 'inherited' a metal one with wooden slats on a 145 that had previously been owned by a plumber. The rack had a slight curvature across the roof, but we successfully carried a small marine ply dinghy on it and also subsequently used it on our 245. Because it was about 4" too narrow, it did not fit on our 745 and hence it hung on our garage wall for about two decades. I passed it on to another forum member some years ago now.

Regards, John.
