Hello everyone, today I changed the oil. Oil filter. Air filter and fuel filter, starting from warm or cold is smoother and the throttle seemed more responsive. Took it out for a drive and I'm not sure what I have managed to do but it's not happy

It was bogging and holding back loads when accelerating in 3rd gear and then it bogged out completely until I let off the throttle and back on!

The next time it did this I kept my foot to the floor and put the clutch in to see what happened. The revs dropped slowly to idle and then shot back up again!

Any idea what this could be? Have I upset something whilst doing the other work as not sure if anything I have done would have had a negative effect?

Thanks.

Mike.

What engine have you got? Edit - '99 T4 - sorry just noticed there is a first page in this thread

Checking the fuel filter would be my first port of call - perhaps the seals aren't in properly?

Hello v40alex,

I had a pole around checking all the work I had done. And checking anything I might have upset in doing so. And couldn't find anything obvious. Drove it today and it's perfectly fine! Not sure if there was an air Lock in the fuel filter or something?

Thanks,

Mike.

Air in the filter was what I was thinking, sounds like it just needed a burp
