Hi, interesting. Long debate on another forum on this topic regarding 1800’s. We’re they same as the amazons? Is this documented anywhere?
Thanks.

Don't know whether it is the colour you are looking for but I found that Kubota engine grey is an exact match for the dashboard grey on my 1963 Amazon. I would describe it as quite a dark grey, but it may be what you are describing as pale bluey/grey.

Unfortunately, I cleaned the crossmember before color matching on my 64 1800S, but it was the blue gray and to naked eye matched the heater box color, which I still have. Anyone else have the same setup and can confirm the match?

If you are not looking for the exact same original colour then I have used 'Rustoleum' Steel Grey in a rattle can over an epoxy primer. Reasonable price and it looks original to my eye on my 1800.

Thanks...Is that heater box or cross member or both? I am interested to know if both appear to be the same color "blue grey" and if so, what year is your 1800?

Hi, my car is a '68 1800.
The photos show it in reasonable light. Possibly slightly on the blue side.
I have another couple of shades of rustoleum. I'll try and dig them out so there is a comparison.

In the next photo, the card is painted in Rustoleum 'light grey' (2181) which I felt was just too light. I haven't found the other shade yet...

I cant say with 1800's as the early cars would not have been on the same production line as the amazon
