Default engine oil flush? what to recommend, if at all!

I have always used an engine oil flush on previous cars, but with my D5 163bhp v70 2002 i'm not so sure! I have spent alot on it the last year and maybe just getting paranoid, i dont want to create any further probs!!

I have recently bought fully synth castrol oil ready for its 10k change. I am considering doing a flush but wondered if this would affect the new oil in some way and should it be avoided?!

What do you suggest? and what would be the best one to use? I would normally just buy Wynns.

cheers!

The only time I would consider flushing the engine oil would be on buying a second hand car with an indeterminate service history

Apart from that it's not necessary (and Volvo advise against it in their service schedules) provided good quality oil is used and it's drained warm and allowed to fully drain

Don't think i would use it. Just keep changing the oil at the correct intervals, it will be fine.
