Thats strane & not the case for me.

I just picked the 10th from the drop down list via the normal VOLVO NL invite.

I used to be quite active on the NL Volvo forums, but fell out with the site owner to quit in disgust. LOL.

Default New Member - XC90 Ordered.

I've spent a few weeks looking for a replacement for my 2014 BMW X5 diesel, I'd shortlisted the Porsche Cayenne S E-hybrid and the new XC90 T8 Hybrid. After a lot of deliberation I've placed an order for new XC90 T8. I have a confirmed build 'slot' and delivery is expected July 2015.

This will be my first Volvo car, I've been a loyal customer of BMW for many years though feel that they have lost their way somewhat in terms of design, build quality and customer service.

XC90 Spec is:

Equipment level: R-Design

T8 Twin Engine

Osmium Grey (though might change to Crystal White)

20" 5 Spoke Alloy Wheels (Diamond Cut/Matt Tech Grey) with 275/45 Tyres

Packs

Head-Up Display Winter Pack:
Heated Washer Nozzles, Heated Front Seats, Head-Up Display in Windscreen

Intellisafe Pro:
BLIS with Cross Traffic Alert & Rear Collision Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Aid & Queue Assist

Xenium Pack:
Parking Camera 360' Surround View, Park Assist Pilot - Automatic Parallel & 90' Parking

Options

8m Extended Charge Cable with 3 Pin Plug

4.5m Type 2/Mode 3 Charge Cable

Leather Instrument Panel and Door Tops

Integrated Sun Curtains - Rear Doors

Heated Rear Seats

Subwoofer

Carbon Fibre Inlays

Tow-bar - electrically operated

Looking forward to my first look at the XC90 in January.

May I be the first to say, "NICE"!
Good choice there with the T8, as we know not many people will go, all in.

Hi,

What you're saying is very interesting.

I ordered a Volvo XC90 T8 in France early October 2014 during the French Paris motor show. They provided me also with a July 2015 delivery date. There are lots of rumours in France that delivery for the T8 has been delayed to October/November. How much comfort did your dealer provided you with regarding the build slot?

Thanks,
JC

My dealer is still telling me that my car is to be built in June 2015.

I really hope to be the case. In France, I have a meeting planned with my dealer early Feb to confirm options and build date. So far on the order sheet, I have a July delivery mentioned.
People are slightly scared on French Volvo forums with presumably revised deliveries.

Apart from the 1927 special first edition cars, do you or anyone know how many orders Volvo have taken so far for the new XC90? I imagine that will have a significant impact on your delivery dates (sounds like a baby...!).

I take it all back! My dealer has just called me again to say he's had another update from Volvo UK telling him my build has been pushed back to mid-September and delivery in November at the earliest.

I'm cancelling my order based on this information (particularly since this may be the first of many other delays) What a pity!

I can have a Porsche Cayenne S E-hybrid in July.

Tough. When did you order it?
I am hoping to stick to the plan since I was one of the first order in France. Let's see. But I agree with you, if it gets delayed I will probably cancel it for a Q7 eTron once deliveries have been announced. I need a 7-seater unfortunately.
