Windscreen Replacement
Hi Everyone,
I am having the windscreen replaced on my V70 after I got a large stone chip in it yesterday. At the moment there is a rubber strip across the top that is coming away from the glass and also needs replacing. Does this come as part of the windscreen or is it an extra part that I will need to get before the work is done? Thanks TCH |

Hi, i'm 99% sure it comes fixed to the top of the windscreen. As your screen got the rain sensor built in, because sometimes removing them to fix to new screen they can get damaged.

Thanks Andy, I don't have rain sensors so that is one less thing to go wrong. In the end I ordered the trim from Volvo just in case. I can always take it back if they don't need it.

Hi
In the end I didn't need the trim as the new screen already had it bonded to the top. Good job as the rubber trim slides into a plastic fitting that was so brittle it broke as it was being removed. In the end it cost me my insurance excess to have it replaced. Thanks to Autoglass in Bedford who did a great job. TCH |
