V90 home servicing
Reading this with interest as I replaced my home serviced V70 with a 2018 V90 in July last year. I'm extra keen to avoid using my local Volvo dealer as I don't rate them.
MOT is in March, service about June. What bugs me is that my copy of VIDA won't work on the car so prior to service I'll want to source a more generic OBD2 reader. That said it's four years old/44k miles so I need to work out what's on the service schedule. Research to be done but I reckon oil and all filters will be a baseline, I think I'll also use a suction pump to remove and replace a proportion of the transmission fluid at each annual service. Don't really care about software updates.....anyone want to enlighten me why I should? My experience that is that main dealers offer zip for the extra prices they charge. The access to software and ingrained experience with the brand is too often outweighed by lazy entitlement and poor customer service......one eye too firmly focused on profit.

WRT Software updates. https://www.volvocars.com/uk/support...-release-notes Click the link enter your vehicle model and year and scroll to the bottom, it will inform you of the updates.
Only you can decide if you think the main dealer service is VFM.
