v70 2009 towing electrics

hi all, decided to fit a towbar to my car this weekend

i have bought a witter detachable model

normally I fit a 7 way relay such as those sold by ryder

i have done this with new shape passat, freelanders etc all modern cars with can bus electrics.

anyhow i was reading somewhere that you can get a wiring kit for around 60 from volvo that just plugs into the cars electrics.

does anyone have any experience of either fitting one of these kits or have you had one fitted for you?

i was supposed to be collecting the caravan on tuesday so may have to resort to the 7 way relay

Volvo is just plug and play and takes about 10 minutes to fit,

It will work without software if your in a rush to fit,

Volvo dealer can usually get parts same day if you order it in morning

I bought the designated volvo kit for my xc90,easy peasy. Literally a 10 minute job.
