Default New VED from 1/4/17

I think the proposed VED changes will adversely affect caravaners who tend to need heavier and consequently more "polluting" expensive tow cars.

I understood the new rates only applied to new cars baught on or after that date.
Considering the president VED difference between auto and manual transmition xc70s £180 manual £260 auto its nothing new. Motorist is a cash cow yet again.

But at least the VED will go to maintaining the road infrastructure instead of going into a general public pot.

If you don't want to pay VED don't buy a large gas guzzler!
