Audio and information display language change
A question asked about 2 years ago without a solution HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE LANGUAGE DISPLAY? It should be possible as I'm sure having a system where you can choose the language is cheaper to produce than having individual units made for each market. Some of the most basic electronic equipment has this choice, or have Volvo not really gone global yet?

It won't be individual units, it will be different software downloads for each market. I'd imagaine you could get a different langauge downloaded into your car if your were in a foreign market.

Audio information language display change
This is what I am thinking also but a phone call to the local Volvo dealer suggested a new unit at an exorbitant price. We did not discus the information display. A download to me is obvious but how?

The dealer just does a software upload via their VIDA system - they pay Volvo for each application they use.
If you can find a part number for the language you want the menu's in then I'm sure any dealer can get hold of it. |
