R-Design vs R-Design Pro

Hi all
First time post on this forum and I am hoping someone can help me.
I bought a 2018 V90 R-Design PRO D5 AWD from a dealer in Cardiff but it seems to be missing some of the 'PRO' extras! namely the bending lights
I have heard sometimes that the standard R-Design models are labelled as 'PRO' and that seems to be the case here.
My issue that when I do a search on various databases DVLA etc this car is listed as a R-Design PRO, how can that be? any ideas?
Overall I love the car and happy with what I have just want to try and understand why this is.

Brochure. Section for RD-Pro shows what you should have. You should have Active Bending Headlights with Adaptive Shadow Technology, plus a few other bits over the RD

Agree with you they should be there but are not. The thing I dont understand is how it can be designated on reg docs as a 'PRO' version when its only an R-Design with some extras?

Perhaps it was wrongly registered as a Pro model by whoever did the first registration?

Also, afaik, most (if not all) other organisations use the DVLA database as their data source, so if it was wrong on the DVLA database that error would be replicated elsewhere.

Easy way to tell is does it have nice 18's on it or 20's, if it's a Pro the wheels are thinner veined and diagonal like a collection of Z's

According to the list prices an R Pro is more than £40k and will therefore have the higher road tax. R-design is less than £40k and is much cheaper to tax.
If yours isn't the Pro and you are paying the higher tax you might have an issue to argue !

Nevermind I just noticed you've already ran it through the database and already bought the car, if it helps I had a car that showed up as a 4x4 when it wasn't one in the past, if it has larger wheels than 18's it's a Pro, the extras you are missing are extra's there wasn't much difference between the normal R and a Pro anyway, possibly full leather sports seats and the wheels and some flappy paddles on the wheel the rest was options like the Bowers etc.

20 inch double 5 Spokes is the big clue. does it have headlight wash?


I think you have a Pro but if you really don't have bending lights (should be able to option them on and off in the Sensus) then I'd say she's had a frontal and they put the "cheaper" headlights in and mapped the option out.
