Electric windows - change of behaviour
Afternoon! 2018 V90, which I've had for 2 years. Since it's most recent service, the electric windows don't operate as before. Specifically I can't use them unless the engine is running.
I know that as part of the service, they upgraded the system software, and that the change log for February 2022 includes "New window control condition - when the car is not running, a key needs to be detected in the car to operate the windows.". However, I'm in the car with the key, and ignition on but engine not running and the windows do nothing. I can adjust the seats and the mirrors and open the sunroof but not windows. I've tried putting the key specifically in the central key compartment or just having it on me. Am I doing something stupid? Have I missed some new menu option that's been introduced, or is the update buggy? It seems crazy to make me have to start the engine if I want to adjust the windows while parked up. It used to allow them to operate with just the ignition on. |

Just to add - I noticed a short while after posting that, that holding the lock button on the car door also doesn't shut the windows like it used to. It shut the sunroof but not the windows. Holding the lock/unlock button on the key remote does shut/open the windows though, otherwise I'd have to unlock the car, get back in, start the engine just to shut the windows.
It's clearly not behaving as it should, but don't know if it's just me/my car, or if the software update behaves like this for others? |

Google your model window reset, I had something similar on my V70.
